Winter Colour
The winter prairie is often considered a cold, inhospitable place. For me, it has instead been a source of solace, reflection and transformation. Where I previously rushed past or flew over these scenes in my working life, as a photographic artist I have grown to appreciate and seek out this sparse and lonely environment.

Intrigued by the quiet intersection of the natural environment and the man-made, I’m often drawn to the vernacular, often mundane, nostalgic, broken and imperfect. Exploring themes of humour, ambiguity, irony and isolation, I create panoramic images that emphasize the subtle beauty of the muted winter palette.
